Meant to Be Heard: Voices From the Community

This event, sponsored by the Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York, will feature Queens Memory as well as the New York Public Library’s Community Oral History Project and StoryCorps. The panel discussion will feature the work of the three programs as well as the impact on individuals and communities who have contributed oral histories. You’ll hear the stories of fellow New Yorkers and will learn how to conduct and preserve your own oral histories of family members, friends and neighbors. Light refreshments will be served.
