At Home With Queens College Presents: Building Your Family Tree Without Breaking the Bank

Getting started with your family history research doesn’t have to involve pricey subscriptions or traveling to distant locations. Many of the resources you need can be found online or in your local public library! In this workshop, archivist Lori DiBella Wallach will demonstrate how to use research databases and other freely available materials to build your family tree. We’ll focus especially on the use of Census records and historic maps to trace our ancestors’ journeys and to reveal the details that make their stories come alive. Bring questions from your own experiences!
