POSTPONED – Interwoven Home: A Community Weaving Project
This program will be rescheduled for January. Check back for updated event details.
What does “home” mean to you? Join other Queens residents this winter and spring to create a community collaborative weaving project created from pieces of fabric and our own definition of home. You can participate in this project by attending an in-person workshop at Ridgewood Library facilitated by Ridgewood artist Isa Dorivillier on either 12/9 or 12/14. Join us to share your memories and ideas of home and add your story to the community weaving project, and feel free to bring any small token that reminds you of home. The final piece will be on public display at Ridgewood Library through January and at other Queens Public Library branches after its completion!

This program is inspired by highly-personal textiles and quilts previously on view as part of What That Quilt Knows About Me, from March 17, 2023–October 29, 2023, at the American Folk Art Museum, and in collaboration with artist Antonia Perez, Queens Memory Project at Queens Public Library, and Socrates Sculpture Park.
