Writing for the Culture: A Workshop for Teens
This two-day program is targeted to teens aged 13-19 and is hosted by the Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center. Register here.
Participants will have a discussion with Black Panther Veteran Yasmeen Majid about her life and activism as well as leadership and systematic changes that plague us today. They will then come together for a virtual writing workshop with Nigerian born Bangladeshi American writer and photographer Abeer Hoque connecting this discussion with their experience today.
Schedule: Thursday, June 24th @ 4:00pm EST and Wednesday, June 30th @ 4:00pm EST.
